Xdefinition version 2.0 is Syntea registered technology to process the XML documents.
Xdefinition version 2.0 is our key technology being developed since 2003. We presented it on the international conferences XML Prague.
Xdefinition version 2.0 represents a transparent, legible and easy to understand tool to describe, validate and process the XML documents as well as to create it. It is a powerful tool replacing and in many aspects even surpassing the abilities of the XML schemas or of the XSLT transformations
Xdefinition version 2.0 enables in its basic functionality to describe in a natural and legible way the structure of the XML documents. This is done in a format almost similar to the structure of the described documents. It fully replaces the validation functionality of DTD, XML schemas, RelaxNG a other similar tools.
Xdefinition version 2.0 enables, over the above described features, to extend the XML structural description with description of actions that should run over the processed XML document. The actions itself are described by a script language that, among others, anables calling of external procedures (e.g. in Java language). In this way it is possible for example to describe the storing of data from XML in a database.
Using Xdefinition version 2.0 as the basic tool to process the XML data enables to cover the complete area of data processing within one project by one technology: starting with analysis, through coding up to the documentation phase.
Using Xdefinition version 2.0 distinctively accelerates and cheapens the development cycle of the customer software starting with the analysis phase up to the maintenance phase. Reliability of the technology was verified in several fields of processing large data files of potentially unlimited size. Currently we develop the extended Xdefinition version 2.1.
